Purpose for my blog:

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN AN EXPLORER IN MANY WAYS! I LOVE NATURE, MEETING NEW PEOPLE, SEEING NEW PLACES, AND
CAN'T THINK OF BETTER WAY TO ILLUSTRATE AND DOCUMENT MY EXPLORATION!

Hey Hey
Well, I just made it back from my woofing experience out in the wilderness. There aren't really any words to explain what it was like but it was something else! I met some really cool folks who were doing the same thing as me. I worked like a dog and ate like a king. The first several days i did lots of tree work, then i worked on one of their trucks and fixed their 4-wheeler. I was a lot different than most of the others there. they didnt really know how to do much so i was able to contribute a lot. I also killed and butchere a whle cow for the first time. Sicne i was the only one who knows anything about guns and meat, i had to do it so we could have some meat on the table. Its all just part of life i guess but we did everything we could not to waste anything and it was a hgue learning experience. Now i am back to the mainland and headed to Nelson in a few hours to meet a few friends and wander around for a few days before i have to be back in Christchurch on sat. Meeting my friend James there and we will hang until we both fly out on Mon. He's headed to Thailand an since we both had flights from there on the same day we are gonna meet up. Just wait til you here the stories i have from this past week. I'll be back in AU on the 4th. Renting a campervan and gonna travel. it won't be long now! Hope everyone is doing well! Miss yuo all but see you soon. I'll try to put some pics up when i get a chance!
Later on!
Jared

Hello everyone!
Sorry I haven't been keeping up too well with the blog but sometimes i just need to stay away from this crazy internet.  Everything is good though.  I've been staying here in Queenstown, which has become my "home" here in NZ.  I went back to the camp I stayed at a while back and did some work for the people who run it for my stay.  We cut don a few trees and got it all cleaned up, so now my rent is paid through sunday.  Then I'm taking off for the Northeast corner of the S. Island to a place called Marlborough Sound.  There i will stay for about a week working on the farm/lodge in return for food and accommodation.  I've heard its a beautiful place and the lodge I'll be working at is secluded and only accessible by boat or plane.   After that I just have to be in Christchurch by May 4 for my flight to AU.  Its been really nice here in Queenstown. I've made some really good friends from all over the world; Texas, Argentina, Slovakia, France, and several Kiwis as well!  I'll try to put a few pics up soon of my camp and a few other spots around here.  My friend Seb let me borrow his bike so I'm back riding several miles a day.  I ride to town when i finish working, then back home at night.  Its getting me in good shape so i feel good every day.  I hope everyone is well back at home!  Please tell everyone i said hello and i think about you all every day!  It will be exciting when i return but for now I am just focused on enjoying the rest of my trip!  Catch up soon!
