Doing good here hanging in Queenstown! I found a really nice place to stay and its really cheap! It overlooks the lake, nice and relaxing, and has clean showers, bathrooms, kitchen, and a lounge. I met some folks from Texas and been hanging with them for a few days. They had a bike that needed a little work and they weren't really using so i fixed it and they are letting me use it while i stay here in Queenstown. There's a trail that runs along the lake and its all beautiful so i ride to town along the trail which takes me about an hour if i keep a steady pace. I've been missing my mountain bike pretty bad so its great to be able to ride here! I'm getting in good shape for sure and eating pretty healthy since i don't have junk around. I've found the good foods that are cheap. I'll probably be here for another 3 or 4 days then headed back out to hike again. I'll have some great pics once i do that! I hope everyone is doing good! Dee, you asked when i was coming home. May 22. It will definitely be fun to get back and see everyone! I look forward to that! Well, I'll try to get a few cool pics i took here up a little later today but hope everyone is well! I'm doing great! Miss you all!

I went on a nice little hike yesterday to the top of Deer Park. There are all types of animals roaming around and it was a place where they filmed several scenes from Lord of the Rings. Sorry I can't tell you which ones because i've never seen the movie. You can see the beautiful view though! Hope everyone is well!

Still makin it pretty well! Lately, I've just been camping a good bit in a few different places and getting ready to do more hikes soon. I've met some pretty nice people including 4 Germans, 1 Swiss, 5 Texans, and one French. Met most of them just camping because we were all looking for free campsites. Its interesting meeting new people fom other countries and talking about our similarities and differences. I think you find more similarities than anything though and thats what keeps you going. Just a few random pics lately. The 2 with the van are very nice German girls i camped with a few nights, others are the boys from Texas and thats the basket of dreams we are sittin in. Hope everyone is doing great!

Apparently my mom doesn't like the shaved look. She said i look like a convict. I'm just taking it easy now and camping along this beautiful lake here at Glenorchy. Its called lake Wakapitu. Still looks like about 5 more days before the scabs will fall off my heals so I'm just trying to be patient. The weather has been really nice and I have a great campsite. Here are a few pics of it. I hope everyone is doing good back at home! Let me know if there is any big news! I miss everyone and hope you all know I think about ya! I'm planning to hit the trail on the 15 or 16 so after that I'll be hiking all the time and levaing Vinny. His gf is coming on Valentine's day so he'll be with her and I have several long hikes lined up. I'll have more pics then! Talk again soon! Tell everyone i said hello!
